Using a divot fork to repair pitch marks

A divot fork (also known as a pitch fork) is used in golf to repair pitch marks that is caused by the impact of the golf ball as it lands on the green or fringe. Repairing a pitch mark immediately with a divot fork shortens the time it takes for the mark to be fully repaired, if a pitch mark is left unrepaired, it can take up to almost 3 weeks for the mark to be fully repaired.

Use the divot fork and push the grass from the outside of the pitch mark towards the center until it is filled up entirely and then tap down with the putter gently a few times. If you would like to know how to do it, see how the experts from Sandford Springs Golf Club does it.
